Post 23 - H.L. Hunley

Mom and Dad visited us the weekend of dad's birthday and we all piled into the truck for the drive up to Charleston, SC. The H.L. Hunley is being restored by private collectors there and dad wanted to visit this historic submarine. The story behind its arrival and use in the Charleston Harbor is full of intrigue, devastation and a little bit of romance. It has been mistakenly called the USS Hunley, though it was never used by the federal government.

Vivian and Randy visited us.
